You may notice that this is just a simple bag. I have decided that I will make these for the last few bags I need to make. All you bloggers out there catching up with with WISP have made me want to do the same, so hopefully I will be able to post pictures of finished products.

This pattern is This and That bag by Hatched and Patched without the embroidery. I have 17 weeks to D-day.I am ahead of my target, but I have other commitments so I can't slack off. I have the whole day to sew DH has gone for the day to play golf.

Baby quilt for Kalan

I made this quilt for friends fourth son who was born at the end of December.Its a Moda fabric Sunshine checks and plains purchased as charm squares. I had a few left over so I made a Bag as well. Oh the joys of retirement.

After my absence from sewing I have had a very productive week.This is called a Paddington Satchel a Moon Shine pattern designed by Monica Poole, one of my favourite pattern desingers. The patterns are really easy to follow.

Back to quilting

On Sunday Club Quilt had its normal gathering, it was great to be back after so many weeks away. I started a baby quilt for friends who had their fourth son at the end of December. I have also started my bag making again. I am only just on target. Club Quilt are having a stall at the Narromine Cancer Support Group garden party to be held on 30/3/08 so we also have to be making things for that. Thanks to all the bloggers who visit and a big thank you to Chooky Blue for organising the Secret Santa Swap and getting me into blogging.

Welcome to 2008

I hope everyone has had a great Christmas and are all enjoying the new year. I have been to Sydney for Christmas to celebrate with my two sons their wifes and my five grandsons. We had a wonderful time, the weather was perfect so was the food and the gifts and the company.After Christmas we returned to Narromine accompanied by our four oldest grand children. The baby is a bit of a handful so we left him behind, maybe this year he can come for a visit. They stayed for a week and then it was time for DH and I to have a holiday(although I always say my life is one big holiday). We headed south to the south coast of Victoria and did a trip along the Great Ocean Road.This road follows the coast from south of Geelong in the east to Warrnumbool in the West for approx 250ks. It was built by returning soldiers from the first world war as a memorial to those who died fighting. It was started in 1919 and completed in 1932.We also played some great golf courses with amazing scenery.

Christmas gifts

I made these sewing hold alls for my friends Peg and Kerry. We have just had lunch together and exchanged gifts. They are both very special people.
