Charity Quilt

This is the second item to be finished for Peg's challenge. This is a quilt that Club Quilt members sewed together. I have quilted it and sewed the bind and put a label on it. It now has to be delivered.

Scrappy Challenge

This is a mystery quilt published in APQ Vol16 numbers 6,7 &8. Pat and Gai, both made this as a mystery (photos are on Club Quilt Narromine Blog)after seeing their efforts I decided I had to make one as well. I have started sewing it together today.

The first challenge completed.

This is the first project I have finished for Peg's challenge (five items finished before the end of July). It is a quilt as you go quilt that I have been making for about 2 years.

Well guess where I've been all day!!! Peg organised for Club Quilt members to be involved in a cyber stitching day. The earthly day was organised by Karen from Mrs.Martin's Quilt Shop in Victoria. Peg organised for all 14 of us to receive a kit from Karen which contained a couple of stitchery kitsfrom Mrs.Martin's, Annie Downs new book Simple Pleasures and patterns from Gail Pan. We assembled at Pegs beautiful home at 10.00am, first it was morning tea then some stitching and laughing and goodies. Pegs generosity never fails to amaze me.She had organised for everyone to receive a gift from her . James, Peg's DH had cooked up a storm. Pumpkin soup, followed by lasagne, zucchinni slice, chicken curry and salad followed by ice cream cone.See Dragonfly's blog for photo's of the food.More stitching and laughter and then afternoon tea.What a way to spend a cold Winters day.Thanks to all the girls for their company.Big thankyou to Karen and all her team for the kits. A huge thankyou to Peg and James for the use of their home and for their generosity, it really is appreciated.

Excuses, excuses

I can't beleive that it has been over two weeks since I was last here. Busy playing golf and a little bit of sewing. I intend to lift my game, I have joined in Peg's challenge so I will be posting photos of the finished items.We had an extra stitching day today at Club Quilt. We had a visit from Kerry Swane(Cottage on the Hill, Nundle). She was in our area visiting an old friend and called in to stitch with us. We enjoyed lunch at the Bowling Club. It was great to get together with Kerry and all the girls. We have a retreat in Nundle in August so I am looking forward to that. We have a cyber-stitching day on Saturday. Peg has kindly invited us all round to her house for the day and we will be linked by computer to Mrs.Martin's Quilt Shop who is conducting a work shop. Karen is sending us kits.I will keep you posted on what we make.

Flowers and Flutterby's

This is a quilt I made for Irene who turned 92 on 20/5/08. It is based on Leanne Beasley's Flowers and Flutterby's, without the embroidery on the middle border. I intend to make this quilt with the embroidery.I was really pleased with the quilting
