Nundle

This is the quilt I made at Nundle at the weekend. We have been going for a weekend retreat to Nundle for about 10 years. We go to the Cottage on the Hill, which is run by Kerry Swain. We always have a great time.

The quilt was made as a quilt as you go quilt made in panels. Here is how you join each section together with a bind. Thanks to Kerry, Peg, who drove Kath and I to Nundle and the rest of the girls .

St Vincent de Paul

Today I sorted my wardrobe. In these bags are 21 pairs of pants and 25 tops and a few other bits and pieces all taken to the St Vincent de Paul clothing bin.
Sad to say I have probably got this much left again, but I have to keep something to wear.

Decluttering

I am sure I am not alone in trying to get rid of  "STUFF" that is of no use to you.I have started on my de-cluttering journey. I started last Saturday, and have vowed to do a draw or a shelf in a cupboard everyday. So far I have managed it.
This is my bedside cabinet drawer after I have finished.

                                                          Another drawer sorted.

Just one of the few wardrobes I have to do. Wish me luck, I have a terrible time throwing things away. Putting it on the blog will keep me on track.

School Holidays

During the school holidays my two youngest grandsons came to stay, I knitted them some fuzzy feet. We had a great time, went to the movies , to the park, played golf and took the dogs for long runs. They live in Sydney so they love coming to the country.

Peppers Quilt

I bought this panel and fabric at the craft show in Sydney. My 8 year old grandson's black labrador lives with me in Narromine because they don't have room for her in Sydney

This is what I have done so far

I have appliqued Pepper on to a white background and stippled all around her. I am using the quilt as you go method which we learned when Pauline the Gadget Queen taught us when she visited Narromine.
I am using the paw print fabric as the final border.

SSCS

A big thankyou to Caro from the Netherlands. She sent me a beautiful wall hanging. The house on the wall hanging is made of metal, really unusual. Caro also sent me some coasters, some French ribbon,a sheep pencil and a dutch hand painted book mark. Thank you so much. I have been away visiting my family in Sydney. Thanks to Chooky for all your organisation.
