GDITC

The blogging girls all met up again, they are a fun group and it was lovely to catch up with them all.
Here are Annie Downes and Kerry Swane who did a great job at our recent visit to Nundle to a Girls Day in the Country. What a wonderful weekend we had.

Surprise visit

These are my two sons J and A and my DH. DH had a "funny turn" and the boys drove from Sydney to check he was OK and as you can see he is fine.

Paper Bag swap

In 2008 Pat organised a paper bag swap quilt. We all did a centre for the quilt then it was passed to some else to do one side of the centre, which they sewed on to the middle, then the next person made a piece to fit the top of these two pieces and so on until 8 people had added a strip and we received a complete quilt. We got our tops back at our Christmas get together in 2008 and everyone was thrilled with the results. The lovely ladies who contributed to my quilt were Joan,Carolyn, Kerry, Pat, Gai D, Gai P, Peg and Jan.Thanks girls you did a great job. I quilted it last weekend and have hung it up in my kitchen, it looks great.

Internet Pattern

I found these blocks carefully folded and have a vague recollection of finding a pattern on the net to use up scraps, I decided to make a tablerunner and am very happy with the results. Another finish for OPAM/Gymb.These blocks were only a couple of years old.

More OPAM/GYMB

Whilst tidying up I found this quilt top in a bag. Spurred on by OPAM and GYMB I finished it and it now adorns my kitchen table. I worked out it must be approx 9/10 years old.

Tidying Up

This is what I have been up to, tidying up my sewing cupboard. A great improvement on before.
